The EAPETEA-11 Organizing Committee is pleased to announce the submission and presentation guidelines for the 11th East Asia Joint Symposium on Plasma and Electrostatic Technologies for Environmental Application (EAPETEA-11), to be held on October 9-11, 2026 in Beijing, China. On-site registration and check-in will be arranged on October 8, 2026. Researchers, engineers, graduate students, and professionals are invited to submit abstracts and participate in the symposium.

1. Scope of the Symposium

  • ● Fundamental plasma science, plasma generation, diagnostics, and related mechanisms;
  • ● Electrostatic technologies and their environmental applications, including electrostatic precipitation and advanced electrostatic processes;
  • ● Environmental applications of plasma and electrostatic technologies, including air pollution control, water treatment, greenhouse gas conversion, and related pollution-control technologies;
  • ● Plasma-catalysis, plasma-assisted combustion, material processing, and energy conversion;
  • ● Biological, biomedical, industrial, and commercial plasma technologies;
  • ● Other emerging topics related to plasma and electrostatic technologies for environmental application.

3. Abstract Submission

3.1 Submission requirement. Authors who wish to deliver an oral or poster presentation are required to submit an abstract by September 15, 2026. The abstract must be prepared in English using the official EAPETEA-11 abstract template.

3.2 Presentation preference. During registration or abstract submission, authors should indicate their preferred presentation format: oral presentation, poster presentation, or no preference. The final presentation format will be determined by the Organizing Committee based on review results, session capacity, and program arrangement.

4. Registration and Required Information

All participants should complete registration through the official EAPETEA-11 registration channel when it opens. The following information may be required:

  • ● Participant name, organization/affiliation, e-mail address, and title (Ms, Mr, Dr, Prof, etc.);
  • ● Presenting author, presentation title, co-authors, affiliations, abstract, and presentation preference;
  • ● Payment information and invoice/receipt information, if applicable;
  • ● Other information requested by the Organizing Committee.

5. Review, Acceptance, and Program Arrangement

● All submitted abstracts will be reviewed by the Organizing Committee or the Scientific Program Committee for relevance to the symposium scope, technical quality, clarity, and suitability for oral or poster presentation.

● Acceptance notifications and final presentation assignments will be issued according to the schedule announced by the Organizing Committee.

● The Committee reserves the right to reassign a presentation from oral to poster, or from poster to oral, when necessary for program balance.

● At least one author of each accepted presentation is expected to register for and attend the symposium. Presentations not accompanied by a registered presenter may be removed from the final program.

6. Oral Presentation Guidelines

  • ● Oral presentations shall be delivered in English unless otherwise approved by the session chair and the Organizing Committee.
  • ● Presentation slides should preferably use a 16:9 aspect ratio. Accepted file formats include .ppt, .pptx, and PDF, subject to the final instructions for each session.
  • ● Presenters must strictly follow the allocated presentation time and the instructions of the session chair. The detailed duration for invited and contributed oral presentations will be specified in the final program.
  • ● Presenters are responsible for preparing and testing their presentation files before the session.

7. Poster Presentation Guidelines

  • ● Poster size: A0 (841 mm x 1189 mm).
  • ● Orientation: portrait.
  • ● Template: no fixed poster template is required unless otherwise announced. Authors may design posters freely while maintaining clear structure and readability.
  • ● Posters should include the presentation title, authors, affiliations, contact information, objectives, methods, key results, conclusions, and acknowledgements where applicable.
  • ● In-person presenters are responsible for preparing and bringing their own printed posters to the venue. Posters should be mounted in the designated area before the poster session and removed after the session. Mounting materials will be provided at the venue where possible.

8. Academic Integrity and Presentation Conduct

  • ● Submitted abstracts must present original work or properly cite prior work. Authors are responsible for the accuracy of all data, figures, and statements.
  • ● Any use of third-party images, data, software, or copyrighted material must comply with applicable permissions and citation requirements.
  • ● Presenters should respect the session schedule, conference staff instructions, and discussion etiquette. Photography or recording may be subject to venue and session-specific rules.
